AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, ESTABLISHING AND
LEVYING OF USER FEES FOR THE USE OF PUBLIC PARKS AND
RECREATION FACILITIES, PROVIDING FOR THE COLLECTION OF
SUCH FEES, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, upon review and consideration of the matter, the City Council has
determined that it is in the best interest of the City to establish and levy user fees to
be charged for the use of the City's public parks and recreation facilities, and to further
provide for the collection and crediting of such fees;
WHEREAS, the collection of such fees would allow for an increase in available
funds for general facility maintenance and improvement in the overall quality of City
athletic facilities;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ALLEN, TEXAS:

A. The following user fees are hereby adopted and levied, to be charged for
the use of the City's public parks and recreation facilities, and shall be paid
by those individuals and/or organizations making use of the City's public
parks and recreation facilities:
Adult and Youth athletic teams: Residents - $2.00 per
participant, per sport, per season; Non -Residents - $2.00 per
participant, per sport, per season.
B. As defined herein, the word, "Residents" shall mean all those natural
persons living within the official corporate boundaries, as of the date of
the passage of this ordinance and any extensions thereafter of same, of the
City of Allen, Collin County, Texas; "Non -Residents" shall be defined as
any natural persons not a resident as defined herein.
SECTION 2. The user fees established above shall be collected by the Parks and
Recreation Department, and upon receipt thereof, shall be credited to the General Fund
of the City of Allen.

SECTION 3. Any individual or organization not in compliance with this ordinance
shall be subject to denial of the use of the City's parks and recreation facilities, or shall
be subject to denial of participation in a class, activitiy, of facility use activity
provided by the Parks and Recreation Department.
SECTION 4. The fees established in Section 1, hereof, shall be levied beginning
October 1, 1984.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Allen,
