AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TERAS, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 543-9-84
ESTABLISHING A FEE FOR THE USE OF LIGHTED BALL FIELDS
FOR PURPOSES OF PRACTICE AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFEC-
TIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, upon review and consideration of the matter and upon
recommendation of the Parks and Recreation Board, City Council has deter-
mined it is in the best interest of the community to establish a user fee to
be charged to those groups and individuals who desire to use lighted ball
fields in the city parks for practices;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The following will add a new Section 6 to Ordinance No.
543-9-84. "A fee of $6.00 per 90 minute usage time may be charged by the
Parks and Recreation Department for use by groups and individuals of the
lighted ball fields within the parks of the City of Allen. The Director of
Parks and Recreation is directed to ensure that the fee can be equitably and
fairly administered to users of the individual parks during the separate
playing seasons. "
SECTION 2. This ordinance does not amend any other section of
Ordinance No. 543-9-84 or Ordinance No. 697-5-86.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective after publication but
not before October 1, 1988.
