ORDINANCE NO. 936-9-89
NAN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS,
CHANGING THE NAME OF RAINTREE CIRCLE, A STREET IN THE
RAINTREE ESTATES SUBDIVISION, LOCATED NEAR ALMA DRIVE AND
F. M. 21709 TO RAINFOREST CIRCLE; AMENDING ALL ORDINANCES
OR PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City of Allen that there are
currently two Raintree Circles in the City of Allen, the street in the Raintree Estates
Subdivision having assumed the name of a previously assigned street; and,
G WHEREAS, Westwind Properties has requested that the City Council of the City
of Allen, Texas, change the name of Raintree Circle located in Raintree Estates
Subdivision to Rainforest Circle; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, is of the opinion that
the safety and welfare of the inhabitants of both streets would best be served by
changing the name of Raintree Circle in the Raintree Estates Subdivision to "Rainforest
Circle".

NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Allen,
SECTION 1: That the street entitled Raintree Circle located in the Raintree
Estates Subdivision of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, which is located near the
intersection of Alma Drive and F. M. 2170 in the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas,
be, and is by these presents hereby officially changed to and redesignated as
"Rainforest Circle".
SECTION 2: That as a result of this change, The City of Allen will provide for
notification of said change and redesignation to all public utilities and postal
authorities.
SECTION 3: That all ordinances or portions of ordinances of the City of Allen in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby amended to conform to the
provisions of this ordinance.
SECTION 4: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
from and after, its adoption.
