AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS TO
ESTABLISH A FEE SCHEDULE FOR THE INSPECTION SERVICES FOR NEW
STREETS, WATER DISTRIBUTION, SANITARY SEWER DISTRIBUTION
AND STORM SEWER DISTRIBUTION; VIDEOTAPE SERVICES OF NEW
SANITARY SEWER LINES AT THE REQUEST OF THE DEVELOPER OF NEW
SUBDIVISION; INSTALLATION OF CLEAN -OUTS IN EXISTING SANITARY
SEWER LINES AT THE REQUEST OF PROPERTY OWNERS; FEES FOR
COPIES OF ENGINEERING DESIGN MANUALS; DETAILS AND PLANS; AND
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City staff has reviewed existing fees charged for filing of subdivision
in relation to costs of engineering review and inspection services provided by the City;
and,
WHEREAS, the City staff has further reviewed the subdivision and other fees required
by other cities; and,
WHEREAS, the City staff is of the opinion that the existing requirements for filing fees
and charged on subdivision plats is insufficient to cover the cost of onsite inspection
of street, water, sanitary sewer and storm drainage services provided by the City of
Allen; and,
WHEREAS, the existing fees in section 5.04 of Ordinance 518-6-84 do cover the cost of
engineering reviews and other costs to the City of Allen; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the recommendations of the City staff and
concurs with the new fees;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1: That from and after the effective date of this ordinance, the following new
fees are in effect for Public Works Department services, to wit:
(1) Engineering Inspection Fee: 3.2% of estimated cost of public
improvement (i.e. water sewer, streets,
drainage etc.)
The engineering inspection fee is a percentage of actual contract costs,
of city -maintained improvements, to be paid prior to release of
engineering plans and/or site plans. Contracts will be provided to show
the construction costs of public improvements.
(2) Videotape Services for sewer: $1.00 per foot of pipe (Maximum 1,000 feet)
(3) Install cleanout on existing sewer: $100.00
