AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS
AMENDING THE CITY OF ALLEN CODE OF ORDINANCE, CHAPTER 6,
"HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT," AND ORDINANCE NO. 468-10-83, AS
AMENDED, BY APPROVING RATE INCREASES; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Allen is a member of the solid waste disposal system owned and
operated by the North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) , and disposes of all
solid waste generated in Allen in landfills operated by NTMWD; and
WHEREAS, the Texas Legislature increased the State Landfill Permit Fee from fifty cents
per ton to $1.50 per ton, effective October 1, 1991 for all landfill operators; and
WHEREAS, the NTMWD is now charging the increased fee to the City of Allen;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That from and after the effective date of this Ordinance, Chapter 6,
"Health and Environment," Article III, "Solid Waste," Section 6-60, "Same Fees, "of the
City of Allen Code of Ordinances and Ordinance No. 468-10-83, Section 2.07,
"Commercial Collection Fees," as amended, are hereby amended by adopting an
Attachment "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes.
SECTION 2. That all ordinances of the City of Allen in conflict with the provisions of
this ordinance shall be, and the same are hereby, repealed; provided, however, all
other provisions of said ordinance not in conflict herewith shall remain in full force and
effect.
SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall take effect March 1, 1992.
