AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS,
CHANGING THE NAME OF HILLSIDE LANE, LOCATED BETWEEN F.M. 2170
SOUTH TO PARK PLACE DRIVE, TO SOUTH FOUNTAIN GATE DRIVE;
AMENDING ALL ORDINANCES OR PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, has deemed it appropriate to change the
name of Hillside Lane to South Fountain Gate Drive in order to provide consistency throughout the
length of this colector street; and.-
WHEREAS,

WHEREAS, the City Council has deemed this action is in order to reduce confusion and enhance
traffic mobility and access via this collector street between Allen Heights Drive and F.M. 2170; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that no residential or commercial properties front
Hillside Lane and no address changes will be required; and,
WHEREAS, the changing of the name of this street is timely; and,
WHEREAS, changing the name of Hillside Lane to South Fountain Gate Drive can be accomplished
simply through passage of this Ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That the street designated as Hillside Lane, located from its intersection with F.M.
2170 to its intersection with Park Place Drive, in the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, be, and is
by these presents hereby officially changed to and redesignated as "South Fountain Gate Drive."
SECTION 2: that Fountain Gate Drive is hereby declared a collector street in order to enhance
traffic mobility and defer traffic away from residential streets.

SECTOIN 3: ' That as a result of this change, the City of Allen will provide for notification of said
change and redesignation to all public utilities and postal authorities.

SECTION 4: That'all ordinances or portions of ordinances of the City of Allen in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby amended to conform to the provisions of this ordinance.
SECTION 5: That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its
adoption.

their regular meeting held on Thursday,
March 5, 1992 (Title clause only):
Ordinance No. 1082-3-92: An Ordinance
of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas,
Changing the Name of Hillside Lane, Be-
tween F.M. 2170 South to Park Place Drive
to South Fountain Gate Drive; Amending
all Ordinances or Portions of Ordinances in
Conflict Herewith; and Providing for an Ef-
fective Date.
