AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1049-9-91 AND ARTICLE IV, CHAPTER 8, OF
THE ALLEN CODE OF ORDINANCES SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR AN ANNUAL
PERMIT FEE OF $25.00; PROVIDING FOR A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WIDEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, has determined it necessary to amend
Ordinance No. 1049-9-91 and Article IV, Chapter 8, of the Allen Code of Ordinances so as to provide
for an annual permit fee for alarm systems within the City of Allen;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1: From and after the effective date of this ordinance, Ordinance No. 1049-9-91 and
Article IV, Chapter 8, of the Allen Code of Ordinances are hereby amended as follows:
"Section 4: Permit fees.
The fee for an alarm system permit shall be Twenty -Five Dollars ($25.00). Said fee shall
be charged annually, whether for an initial permit application or an application for
permit renewal."
SECTION 2: That it is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council that the sections,
paragraphs, sentences, clauses, and phrases of this ordinance are severable; and if any phrase, clause,
sentence or section of this ordinance shall be declared unconstitutional or invalid by any judgment or
decree of a court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality or invalidity shall not affect any
other remaining phrase, clause, sentence, paragraph or section of this ordinance; and the City Council
hereby declares it would have passed the remaining portions even though it had known the affected parts
would be held unconstitutional.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall take effect December 1, 1992.
