Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present.
With a quorum of the Parks and Recreation Board present, Chair Johnson called
the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.on Monday,August 8,2022, in the Media Room
of the The Edge Visitors Center at 201 St.Mary Drive,Allen, Texas.
1) Approve Minutes from June 27,2022, Special Called Meeting.
Motion: Upon a motion by Member Simpson and a second by Member Holley,the
Parks and Recreation Board voted six(6) for and none(0)opposed to
approve the June 27, 2022, Special Called Meeting minutes as presented.
The motion carried.
2) Appoint Representatives to the Parks and Recreation Ordinance Review Ad Hoc
Committee
After brief discussion concerning the responsibilities associated with this appointment
Chair Johnson appointed Member Brewer and Member Simpson.

3) The Edge Visitors Center Tour and Operations Overview.
Billy Diaz, Program Supervisor at The Edge gave the Board an overview of the
programming currently being offered as well as a tour of the facility.
4) Overview of Ongoing Projects.
Brian Bristow,Assistant Director gave a brief update on ongoing projects including
the Dog Park,Molsen Farm and the Stephen G. Terrell Recreation Center.
5) Items of Interest.
6) Adjourn
Motion: Upon a motion by Member Hollingworth and a second by Member
Thomas, the Parks and Recreation Board voted seven (7) for and none (0)
opposed to adjourn the meeting at 7:19 p.m. The motion carried.
