Min - City Council - 1970 - 07/16 - RegularREGULAR MEETING July 16, 1970 City Council, City of Allen Allen, Texas Present: Mayor Pro-Tem C.D. Whitaker Councilmen: LeRoy Ewen, Clifford Hart, Bob Lowman and Mack Holloway, Absent: Mayor Frank Dugger Motion Mack Holloway- Second LeRoy Ewen that minutes from previous meeting be approved as read. Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against, Motion Bob Lowman Second Mack Holloway that bills presented be approved. Motion Carried is For 0 Against, Council voted to set as Tax Equalization Board on August 6, 1970, beginning at 6:30 P.M. at the Municipal Building, Dillard Adney appeared before Council and asked about moving a mobil Home onto the back of his lot to be occupied by his brother-in-law. Council agreed to permit the moving of the Mobil Home on the lot provided the property was zoned for Multiple Dwelling and seperate utilities be connected to the Mobil Home, Council agreed to permit Chief Jerry Burton to enforce the No Burning Ordinance according to State Law. Motion Bob Lowman Second LeRoy Ewen that a cost of living raise be granted Chief Burton, effective July 1st the amount to be determined after Mayor Pro-tem Whitaker found what per cent the cost of living had risen. Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against. Motion LeRoy Ewen Second Bob Lowman that meeting be adjourned, Motion Carried 4 For 0 Against, These minutes read and approved this the 6 day of August, 1970.
