Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Bob Lowman that minutes of previous
meeting be approved as read. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
Motion Bob Lowman Second C.D. Whitaker that bills presented be
approved. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against,
Fire Chief Ronnie Gentry appeared before Council and asked if
Council would consider paying the Volunteer Firemen $ 3.00 per man per
meeting to try and stimulate intrest in the Fire Department. After some
discussion on the matter a Motion by Bob Lowman Seconded by Clifforrd Hart
that the City pay each man $3.00 for 1 meeting and also to pay his gar-
bage for the month if he made both meetings, also that the Fire Chief and
Asst-Fire Chief be paid $ 3.00 per meeting plus his garbage each month the
City Secretary to write a check to the Fire Department each month and that
the Department be responsible for the distribution. This plan is to be sub-
ject to review At the end of a 120 day period. Motion Carried 5 For 0
Against.
Council also asked for a report from the Police Department as
to the amount of money spent, revenue received and miles driven from the
January 1, 1970 to August 1, 1970.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Bob Lowman that meeting adjourn.
Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
