AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COUJ N COUNTY, TEXAS,
CHANGING THE NAME OF BONHAM DRIVE, FROM TTS INTERSECTION
WITH MCDERMOTT DRIVE (FM. 2170) SOUTH TO TTS INTERSECTION
WITH ALLEN DRIVE, TO CENTURY PARKWAY; AMENDING ALL
ORDINANCES OR PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFEV11VE DATE.
VIHEREAS, the Allen Economic Development Corporation has requested that the City Council of the
City of Allen, Texas, change the name of Bonham Drive, from McDermott Drive to its intersection with
Allen Drive, to Century Parkway; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council, at their July 21, 1994 meeting, determined that the name of Bonham
Drive, from its intersection with McDermott Drive (F.M. 2170) to its intersection with Allen Drive,
should be changed to reflect the name Century Parkway; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, is of the opinion that the safety and welfare
of the inhabitants of both streets would best be served by changing the name of Bonham Drive, from
McDermott Drive to its intersection with Allen Drive, to Century Parkway.
NOW, I UEFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: The street entitled Bonham Drive, from its intersection with McDermott Drive south
to its intersection with Allen Drive, be, and is by these presents hereby officially changed and
redesignated as "Century Parkway."
SECTION 2: As a result of this change, the City of Allen will provide for notification of said change
and redesignation to all public utilities and postal authorities.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or portions of ordinances of the City of Allen in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby amended to conform to the provisions of this ordinance.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its adoption.
