ORDINANCE NO. 1469-11-96
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS,
CHANGING THE NAME OF EXCHANGE PARKWAY WEST WITHIN THE
RANGE OF 100 TO 699 TO "EXCHANGE PLACE"; AMENDING ALL
ORDINANCES OR PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECHVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the current name of Exchange Parkway West within the range of 100 to 699 will be in
conflict with the proposed new extension of Exchange Parkway; and,
WHEREAS, 911 regulations do not allow the same street name to be used within the same range; and,
WHEREAS, the residents within the range of 100 to 699 Exchange Parkway West have been notified
of this change; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen, Texas, deems it important to maintain the name of
Exchange within this range of this roadway because of historical use; and,
WHEREAS, the streets within the Rolling Hills Subdivision are consistent with the suffix of Place; and,
WHEREAS, the house numbers for the affected residents will not be changed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1: The street currently named Exchange Parkway West within the range of 100 to 699 be,
and is by these presents hereby officially changed and redesignated as "Exchange Place."
SECTION 2: As a result of this change, the City of Allen will provide for notification of said change
and redesignation to all public utilities and postal authorities.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or portions of ordinances of the City of Allen in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby amended to conform to the provisions of this ordinance.

SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect as of January 1, 1997.
