Min - City Council - 1971 - 02/18 - RegularREGULAR MEETING City Council, City of Allen February, 18, 1971 Allen, Tema Present: Mayor Frank Dugger Councilmen: C.D. Whitaker, Mack Holloway, LeRoy Ewen, Bob Lowman and Clifford Hart. Motion Roy Ewen Second. Bob Lennon that minutes of previous meeting be approved as read by City Secretary. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against. Garner Harper appeared and asked permission from Council to locate a used re- frigerated milk truck on Lot 9C - Block B - Old Demotion to be used for temporary storage in his poultry business. Council gave approval on this request after finding that property was properly zoned for this type of business. W.A. Eubanks appeared before Council seeking information as to whether the City bad an Ordinance regulating the distance between street lights in sub- divisions. Council informed Mfr. Eubanks to use the same procedure as he had used in the past as to the distance between lights since the City did not have an Ordime.noe governing this. Motilin Bob Lowman Second Mack Holloway that bills presented be approved. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against. Council heard a request from Mr J.T. Haggard that he be replaced as a member of the Planning and Zoning Commission due to his health. Conseil agreed to accept Mr Haggard's resignation. Don Rodesbaugh appeared before Council asking information as to whether he would be permitted to construct a Metal Building on his property, being Lot 6 & 7 - Block 7 - Old Donation, also as to whether he could build the building taking in his complete lot. Council gave approval of the building e8-4ke Metal Building and told Mfr Rodenbaugh to check the Zoning Ordinance as to the location of the building on his lot. Mr Clark Fishel, of the Toxins Rod & Gun Club, appeared before Council and extended an invitation to the Council as well as to the public to visit and inspect the facilities of the Club on the let Sunday of each month. Motion Bob Lowmaa Second Roy Ewen that Bill Enloe be appointed to fill the vacancy of the Planning and Zoning Coamission created by the resignation of J.T. Haggard. Motion Carried 5 For Q Againdt. Council asked that bids on fence at the car pound be in by 7:30 P.M., March 4th. Motion Roy Ewen Second Bob Lowman that meeting adjourn till next regular meeting date. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against.
