WHEREAS, the City of Allen, Texas, wishes to establish
its current population level, and
WHEREAS, the City has taken expert testimony regarding
its current population level from a qualified
professional in an open public hearing, and
WHEREAS, the City, by action of the City Council, has
accepted and certified a current estimate of
the population,
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Allen
finds and declares as of this date that the City does
contain within its present corporate limits a current
population of more than five thousand (59000) persons.
