A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE TERMS OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF
rP no; PROVIDING FOR TERMINATION OF THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT CONTRACT
BETWEEN THE CITIES OF ALLEN AND PIANO,; AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT. `
WHEREAS, the City of Plano and the City of Allen have entered
into a contract dated April 17, 1975, under which plane presently
provides, and Allen pays for, handling and treatment of waste water
generated within Allen and its surrou-nding territories; and,
WAEREAS, the Board of Directors of the North Texas Municipal
Water District have officially voted to include -the City of Allen as
an Additional Member City within the Trinity East Fork Regional
Wastewater System,,of which the'City of Plano is also a member, and,

WHEREAS, the City of Allen, as an Additional Member City of
such system, sha11•execute a contract providing terms and conditions un-
der which the City of Allen shall participate within such system; and,
WHEREAS, in light of the membership of the City of Allen
within this system, the City of Allen and the City of Plano are of
the opinion that it is no longer necessary nor desirable to continue
the contract between the parties of April 17, 1975, and that such
contract should be terminated effective upon the City of Allen
becoming an Additional Member City of the Trinity East Fork Regional
Wastewater Treatment System;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PIANO, TEXAS, THAT:
Section I. The terms and conditions of that contract between
the City of Plano and the City of Allen, providing that the wastewater
treatment and handling contract between the parties dated April 17, 19750
shall be terminated, with the effective date being the date upon which
the City of Allen officially becomes and Additional Member City of the
Trinity East Fork Regional Wastewater System, are hereby approved. The
Mayor is hereby authorized to execute that contract on behalf of the City
of Allen.
Section II. A copy of the contract referred to above is
attached hereto and made a part hereof for all purposes.
