Call to Order
With a quorum of the Board members present,the Regular Meeting of the Keep Allen Beautiful Board
was called to order by Chair Ponder at 6:39 PM on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, in the City Hall
Basement Conference Room A of City Hall, 305 Century Parkway, Allen,TX 75013.
1. Approve Minutes of the August 16,2022,Regular Meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Chisholm and a second by Board Member
Chowdhury,the Board voted four(4) for and zero (0) opposed to approve the minutes
pending changes.
2. Receive Financial Report. Susan Ponder gave an update.
3. Receive Update on KAB Event and Projects.
• September 29, 2022—Educator Expo—Andrea Smith discussed the event.
• October 8, 2022—Arbor Day—Andrea Smith, Donna Giles, and Susan Ponder discussed
the event.
• October 13, 2022—STAR Awards—Andrea Smith discussed the event.
• November 5,2022—Allen Recycles Day/Recycled Art Contest—Andrea Smith
discussed the event.
• December 4, 2022—Rotary Christmas Parade—Andrea Smith discussed the event.
4. Discuss Outreach Initiatives.
Josue Diaz, Andrea Smith, and Board Member Chowdhury gave updates on outreach initiatives.
Adjournment
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Chowdhury and a second by Board Member
Walters, the Board voted four (4) for and zero (0) opposed to adjourn the Regular
Meeting of the Keep Allen Beautiful Board at 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20,
2022. The motion carried.
