Call to Order and Announce a Quorum is Present
With a quorum of the Committee Members present,the Public Art Committee was called to order by Chair
Bennett at 6:08 p.m.on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, in the Parks and Recreation Conference Room of the
Municipal Courts,Parks and Recreation Building,301 Century Parkway,Allen,Texas 75013.
Action Items
1. Conduct Elution of Officers for FY2022-2023
Chair Bennet opened the floor for nominations of Chair, Vice-Chair and Secretary. After a short
discussion the following motions were presented:
MOTION: Upon a motion by Member Wittsche and a second by Member Galletti, the
Committee voted seven(7)for and none(0)opposed to reappoint Jane Bennett as
Chair.Thy motion carried.
MOTION: Upon a motion by Member Midkiff and a second by Member Galletti, the
Committee voted seven(7)for and none(0)opposed to appoint Sandy Wittsche as
Vice-Chair.The motion carried.
MOTION: Upon a motion'by Chair Bennett and a second by Member Galletti,the
Committee voted seven(7)for and none(0)opposed to appoint Saundra Midkiff
as Secretary.The'motion carried.
2. Approve Minutes from the June 21,2022,Regular Meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Conimittee Member Wittsche and seconded by
Committee Membei Sennour,the Committee voted seven(7)for and none(0)
opposed to accept minutes from the June 21,2022,Regular Meeting.The motion
carried.

3. Approve Minutes from the September 28,2022,Public Art Committee and Artist Selection
Panel Joint Workshop Meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Committee Member Galletti and seconded by
Committee Member Midkiff,the Committee voted seven(7) for and none(0)
opposed to accept minutes from the September 28,2022,Public Art Committee
and Artist Selection Panel Join Meeting.The motion carried.
Discussion Items
4. Update on STRC Trail Enhancement Public Art Selection Process
Staff reminded the Committee the Artist Concept Presentations would be on Tuesday,December
6,2022, at 6.00 p.m.and Committee members are encouraged to attend.
5. Discuss Potential Future Projects
Staff presented relocating the"Fish Tales"piece from the Parks and Recreation Administrative
Office to Joe Farmer Recreation Center. Since the admin office doesn't receive many in-person
visitors and fishing is a popular activity at Joe Farmer Recreation Center this would give the piece
more exposure.
The new Police Headquarters has been brought up as a possible future location of Public Art.
Staff will reach out to Chief Harvey&Chris Flannigan to attend a future meeting to provide
further details.
The Dog Paik will be complete later this year and will also be a potential future location for
public art.

7. Adjourn
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Member Wittsche and a second by Member Ward,the
Public Art Committee voted seven(7) for and none(0)opposed to adjourn the
meeting at 7:05 p.m.The motion carried.
