A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS
APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
AND NORTH TEXAS MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT
FOR AN ADDITIONAL POINT OF DELIVERY AND
REQUESTING FAVORABLE CONSIDERATION BY THE
BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE NTMWD.
WHEREAS, under an agreement between the City of Plano,
and NTMWD an additional delivery point will be
constructed to the City of Plano known as the
Stadium Pump Station;
WHEREAS, it has been determined by NTMWD that sufficient
capacity exists in the Stadium Pump Station water
line to allow participation by the City of Allen;
WHEREAS, the Allen City Council has studied the short
range and long term needs of the City and determined
that it would be in the best interest of the City of
Allen to obtain a second water delivery point;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
(1) The Allen City Council has considered the
proposed agreement between the City and NTMWD
for a second delivery point and approves the
agreement.
(2) The Allen City Council requests the Board of
Directors of the NTMWD to give favorable
consideration to the agreement.
