A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF 33.351 ACRES OF LAND FROM HANK
DICKERSON, TRUSTEE, AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE ALL NECESSARY DOCUMENTS TO EFFECT PURCHASE OF THAT
PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of purchasing land for the
purpose of constructing buildings for the effective
operations of city government, and to purchase additional
land for the future development of city facilities; and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Allen have overwhelmingly approved a
three (3) year bond program which authorized the
purchase of said property; and
WHEREAS, bond funds currently exist in an amount necessary to
purchase said property; and
WHEREAS, it is a recommendation of the Land Acquisition Committee
appointed by the City Council to purchase said property
from Hank Dickerson, Trustee.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Allen hereby authorizes
the purchase of 33.351 acres of property from Hank
Dickerson, Trustee, out of the Wm. Perrin Survey,
Abstract #708, lying generally west of the Southern
Pacific Railroad tracts, south of McDermott Drive,
and east of U.S. Highway 75.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Allen hereby authorizes
the City Manager to execute all contracts and make such
payments as necessary to secure ownership of said tract.
