RESOLUTION No. 334
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS,
RECOGNIZING A RECENT ANNEXATION AND NOTING THAT WITHIN THAT
ANNEXED TERRITORY AN EXISTING STREET IS UNNAMED; PROVIDING A
NAME FOR THAT STREET AND DIRECTING THAT THE RECORDS AND MAPS
OF THE CITY SO INDICATE.
Whereas, the Allen City Council recently annexed approximately 434
acres adjacent to the City limits and;
Whereas, there presently exists a street that is unnamed, that is
a north/south street running from Rowlett Road to Stacy
Road and;
Whereas, Jack and Pearl Curtis lived adjacent to that road for over
fiffyV, - -)--years and;
Whereas, the entire Curtis family has contributed immeasurable to
the City of Allen;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED
Section 1 That the said north/south street lying west of Highway 75
and adjoining Rowlett Road and Stacy Road be named
Curtis Lane in memory of Jack and Pearl Curtis and in
recognition of the contributions of the entire Curtis
family and,
Section 2 That the records and maps of the City show so designated
said road as Curtis Lane and,
Section 3 That this resolution shall become effective immediately.
PASSED THIS THE 2nd Day of April, 1981.
