A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS,
CONCERNING THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY PROPOSED BY THE
NORTH TEXAS MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALLEN:
Section 1. The City Council endorses the concept of providing
adequate sewer treatment facilities for the citizens
of Allen in concert with Public Law 92-500 and EPA
guidelines. It is also understood that the treat-
ment facilities are to be provided by the North
Texas Municipal Water District through a contractural
arrangement with the City.
Section 2. The City Council participated in the appointment of
Allen representatives to the Citizens Advisory
Committee and supports the work of its members and
of the Committee as a whole in the development of
the facilities plan and in their advisory role to
the NTMWD Board.
Section 3. The City Council understands that the work of the
Citizens Advisory Committee will not be completed
until after the Public Hearing scheduled for June 26,
1981. Therefore, the City Council, defers any action
on the proposed treatment plant site until after
all of the evidence has been reviewed by the Citizens
Advisory Committee and a recommendation is brought
forth.
Section 4. The City Secretary is directed to send a certified
copy of this Resolution to North Texas Municipal
Water District.
