RESOLUTION NO. 358
A Resolution Authorizing the City of Allen to Assess and Tax
Automobiles for the Tax Year 1981.
WHEREAS, the 66th Legislature of the State of Texas has voted
into law House Bill 1060, known as the "Tax Relief"
Amendment effective, January 1,1979,
WHEREAS, Article 5 of House Bill 1060 applies to the exemption
of personal automobiles from the Tax Rolls; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Allen has the option of assessing and
taxing all automobiles for the Tax Year 1981;
Now, Therefore, Be it Resolved by the City Council of the City
of Allen, Texas:
Section 1. That the City of Allen wishes to exercise the option
of assessing and taxing automobiles until further
notice.
Section 2. That this Resolution take effect immediately upon
its adoption.

TEXAS, this 20th day of August , 1981.
