R-365-10-81RESOLUTION NO. 365 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, VACATING AND REPEALING THE EXISTING MORATORIUM ON THE REVIEW OF ALL ZONING AMENDMENT REQUESTS, THEREBY ALLOWING THE CITY COUNCIL AND THE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION TO HEAR SUCH REQUESTS AT THEIR JOINT PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 19, 1981. WHEREAS, the Allen City Council on the advice of legal counsel, deemed it wise and prudent that no zoning amendment requests should be considered during the final stages of review of the Zoning Text and Zoning Map; and, WHEREAS, the City Council did adopt Resolution No. 344 declaring a moratorium on the review of zoning amendments for a period of ninety (90) days; and, WHEREAS, the City Council extended that moratorium through Resolution No. 357 for a period of seventy-three (73) days or until October 31, 1981; and WHEREAS, the Allen City Council and the Planning and Zoning Commission have set a Public Hearing seeking public input on the proposed Zoning Ordinance and Map, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS THAT: Section 1. That through this action the Allen City Council vacates the moratorium on zoning amendments and repeals Resolutions No. 344 and 357. Section 2. This resolution will become effective beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, October 19, 1981. DULY PASSED AND APPROVED ON THIS THE 15th DAY OF October , 1981. M. B.
