A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR THE PROPOSITIONS INCLUDED
IN THE COLLIN COUNTY BOND PROGRAM TO BE PLACED BEFORE THE
VOTERS OF COLLIN COUNTY ON MAY 7, 1983.
WHEREAS, The Collin County Commissioners' Court
invited a large number of Collin County citizens to investigate
the need for a bond program for Collin County; and
WHEREAS, the citizens committee, called the Progress
and Evaluation Committee, determined that there were certain
needs requiring capital improvements funded by bonds; and
WHEREAS, the Progress and Evaluation Committee recommended
certain projects for inclusion in the bond program; and
WHEREAS, the Commissioners' Court of Collin County used
the recommendations of the Progress and Evaluation Committee
and recommendations of the cities within the County,to determine
that a bond election should be called and what propositions
should be included in that election; and
WHEREAS, the propositions on the ballot for this bond
election include capital improvements that are in the best
interest of the County in general;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS,
Section 1. Through this action the City Council of
the City of Allen expresses its support for the propositions
on the ballot on the Collin County bond election to be held
on May 7, 1983.
Section 2. The Allen City Council wishes to encourage

all citizens of the City of Allen to seriously consider these
propositions and vote in this election.
Section 3. The City Secretary is hereby directed to
provide a copy of this resolution to the Collin County
Commissioners' Court.
