A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY,
TEXAS, SUSPENDING THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE PROPOSED REVISIONS
IN THE RATE SCHEDULE OF TEXAS UTILITIES ELECTRIC COMPANY FOR
A PERIOD OF 120 DAYS FROM APRIL 13, 1984; PROVIDING THAT THE
RATES OF SAID PUBLIC UTILITY SHALL REMAIN UNCHANGED DURING
THE PERIOD OF SUSPENSION; AND PROVIDING NOTICE HEREOF TO SAID
PUBLIC UTILITY.
WHEREAS, Texas Utilities Electric Company, on March 9, 1984,
filed with the City Secretary of the City of Allen an Application
and Statement of Intent to amend its existing rate schedule
applicable to electric service provided by it within the
corporate limits of the Cit_v of Allen and proposed that the
revised rate schedule become effective on April 13, 1984; and,
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Allen is of the opinion
that there is a necessity for additional time to study the
request, and consequently that the operation and effective
date of the proposed schedule of rates should be suspended for
the final determination of the request;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE
CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS:
Section 1. The effective date of the proposed revision of the
rate schedule for Texas Utilities Electric Company applicable
to electric service within the city, filed on March 9, 1984,
is hereby suspended for a period of 120 days from April 13, 1984.
Section 2. The rates of Texas Utilities Electric Company for
electric service within the City in effect on March 9, 1984
shall continue in force during the period of suspension as
provided in Section 1.
Section 3. The City Secretary shall promptly after passage of
this Resolution furnish a copy to Texas Utilities Electric
Company.
