A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY
TEXAS, COMMITTING TO REIMBURSE COLLIN COUNTY FOR CONSULTING
WORK PERFORMED TO PREPARE ALIGNMENT AND RIGHT-OF-WAY MAPS FOR
THE PROPOSED STATE HIGHWAY 121 FREEWAY.
WHEREAS, the City of Allen has adopted a resolution
and participated with -other cities in petitioning the State
Department of Highways and Public Transportation to redesignate
State Highway 121 as a freeway; and,
WHEREAS, the cities and counties along the route of
State Highway 121 from U.S. 75 to F.M. 544 had determined that
alignment and right-of-way maps should be prepared for a freeway
along this route; and,
WHEREAS, the State Department of Highways and Public
Transportation cannot prepare alignment and right-of-way maps
because State Highway 121 has not yet been designated as a
freeway in the State's 20 Year Plan; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that preparation of these
maps will cost approximately $29,100 and that the City of
Allen's share of that cost is approximately $1,790.
NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALLEN, TEXAS:
Section 1. The City Council agrees to reimburse Collin
County for preparation of the alignment maps for a freeway
along State Highway 121 in the amount not to exceed $1,790.
Section 2. The City Council authorizes the City Manager
to work with representatives of other cities and with Collin
County in the conduct of the study.
