Present: Mayor Frank Dugger
Councilmen: Clifford Hart & Bob Lowman.
Absent: C.D. Whitaker, Johnny Pannell & Johnnie Blankenship.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Clifford Hart that minutes of previous meeting
be approved as read. Motion Carried 2 For 0 Against.
Mr Jack Winthrop and party appeared before Council and asked about the
possibility of the City running a water line to the property owned by them.
This property is located Northwest of the present Corporate Limits on Stacy
Road. Council advised Mr. Winthrop that the only way the City Could supply
them with water was for their property to be annexed into the Corporate Limits
and the property owners run the water line to our existing water mains. This
group also asked if the City would object to them receiving water from a Rural
water system. Council agreed to help them secure water in any way that was possible,
and suggested that this group contact our City Attorney as to the legal aspects
of this situation and meet back with Council at a later date.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Clifford Hart that the bid fron the Texas Company
be accepted on the purchasing of gasoline for the City. Texaco bid .1550 per
gallon for Sky Chief, Bolin 011 Company bid .302 per gallon for premium grade
gasoline. Motion Carried 2 For 0 Against.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Clifford Hart that bills presented be approved.
Motion Carried 2 For 0 Against.
Motion Bob Lowman Second Clifford Hart that meeting adjourn untill next
regular meeting on July 15th. Motion Carried 2 For 0 Against.
