Present: Mayor Frank Dugger
Councilmen: C.D. Whitaker, Clifford Hart & Johnnie Blankenship
Absent: Bob Lowman & Johnny Pannell.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Clifford Hart that minutes of previous
meeting be approved as read. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against.
W.J. Sheppard speared before Council and presented the Final Plat
on Fountain Park Addition #1 for the Councils approval. Motion C.D. Whitaker
second Clifford Hart that this plat be approved subject to the approval of
City Engineer Walter Hicks. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against.
Del Morton appeared before Council and presented a petition for
annexation on 100 acres of land in the Lexis Wetsel Survey. Motion C.D. Whitaker
Second Clifford Hart that an ordinance be drawn annexing this property.
Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnnie Blankenship that Ordinance be
drawn regulating parking on the streets in the Jan Mar Addition between the
hours of 3.1:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against.
M.B. Pierson and Don Brazeal appeared before Council representing
the Jaycees seeking information as to the possibility of sponsoring a Fair
celebrating the Centenial year of the City. Council gave the ,Jaycees per-
mission to sponsor the Fair and agreed to help them in any way possible.
Council also gave approval to the Jaycees to erect a gate at the entrance of
the City park and also to contact the Army about doing some work on the Park
grounds.
Motion Johnnie Blankenship Second Clifford Hart that Ordinance be
drawn prohibiting the operation of Mobile Service Stations in the City.
Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against.
Motion Johnnie Blankenship Second C.D. Whitaker that meeting adjourn
untill next meeting date which is August 5th. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against.
