A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS ESTABLISHING A CONSTRUCTION
COMMITTEE AND REQUESTING SUCH COMMITTEE TO PROVIDE
REVIEW AND INPUT PRIOR TO AND DURING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE POLICE AND COURTS FACILITY.
WHEREAS, the City Council has been authorized by a majority
vote of the citizens of Allen to sell $2,050,000 in municipal
bonds for the construction of a new police and courts facility; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous in maintaining the
consistency of the use of citizen committees for the construction
of public facilities; and,
WHEREAS, the Allen City Council wishes to provide community
facilities in the most efficient and high quality manner as stated
in Goal 5.00 of the City Comprehensive Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the Allen City Council authorizes staff to act as
liaison between the committee and the City Council; and,
WHEREAS, the Allen City Council wishes to appoint represent-
atives of each member of the City Council which will constitute the
construction committee;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
Section I.; The City Council of the City of -,Allen, Collin
County, Texas, hereby creates a construction committee and authorizes
such committee to provide review and input consistent with the
construction of the new police and courts facility.
Section.II. The City Council of the City of Allen, Collin
County, Texas, authorizes staff to act as liaison between the
committee and the City Council for the purpose of providing that
committee's review and input to the City Council.
Section III. Each member of the City Council of th,e City of
Allen, Collin County, Texas, hereby appoints a representative from
the Allen citizenry to serve on a construction, committee of the new
police and courts facility for the duration of the planning and
construction period.
