A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE REPORT OF THE
LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE OF THE CITY COUNCIL AS THE OFFICIAL
PROGRAM OF LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES OF THE CITY FOR THE
CURRENT YEAR, AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
SAME.
WHEREAS, the seventieth session of the Texas Legislature has
convened beginning in January, 1987; and,
WHEREAS, many legislative issues affecting municipal government
and the citizens of Allen will be considered; and,
WHEREAS, the Allen City Council has appointed a Legislative
Committee to recommend policy positions for such legislative issues;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1. That a 1987 Legislative Program for the City
of Allen is adopted as recommended by the Legislative Committee.
Section 2. That the City Manager is directed to communicate
the priorities included in the Legislative Program to members of
the Texas Legislature and other appropriate state officials.
Section 3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage in accordance with the provisions of the
Charter of the City of Allen.

ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 2nd DAY OF APRIL, 1987.
