Call to Order
With a quorum of,the Board members present, the Regular Meeting of the Keep Allen Beautiful Board was
called to order by Chair Walters at 6:33 PM on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, in the City Hall Basement
Conference Room A of City Hall,305 Century Parkway,Allen,TX 75013.
1. Approve Minutes of the October 18,2022,Regular Meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member States and a second by Board Member Ponder, the
Board voted five(5)for and zero(0)opposed to approve the minutes.
2. Receive Financial Report.Andrea Smith gave an update.
3. Receive Youth Advisory Committee Briefing. Students from the Youth Advisory Committee gave a
briefing to the.board. Andrea Smith elaborated and answered questions.
4. Receive Tour of Tool Trailer.Josue Diaz gave a tour.
5. Receive Update on KAB Event and Projects.
• January 11—February 10,2023—Arbor Day Poster Contest—Andrea Smith discussed the event.
• February 17, 2023 —-GCAA Application Due — Andrea Smith and Josue Diaz discussed the
application.
• February 28,2023—Arbor Day Poster Contest City Council Recognition—Andrea Smith discussed
the event.
• March 2,2023—KTB Regional Training-Josue Diaz discussed the event.
• March 13 -April 7,2023 Reuse-A-Shoe—Andrea Smith discussed the event.
• March 23,2023—Beautify Texas Awards Due—Josue Diaz discussed the event.
• April 22,2023—Great American Cleanup—Andrea Smith discussed the event.
6. Discuss Outreach Initiatives.
Andrea Smith and Josue Diaz gave updates on outreach initiatives.

MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Asch and a second by Board Member
Chisholm, the Board voted five (5) for and zero (0) opposed to adjourn the Regular
Meeting of the Keep Allen Beautiful Board at 7:27 p.m. on Tuesday,January 17,2023.
The motion carried.
