Call to Order
With a quorum of the Board members present, the Regular Meeting of the Allen Convention and Visitors'
Bureau Advisory Board was called to order by Chair Musa at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2022, in the
Council Conference Room at Allen City Hall, 305 Century Parkway,Allen,Texas 75013.
1. Introduction of Board Members.
Chair Musa introduced the newest appointed member in Place No. 2, Sarah Bassham.
Chari Musa moved to Item 3 on the agenda.
3. Approve Minutes of the August 10,2022,Regular Meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Boone and a second by Board Member Arnold, the
Board voted six(6) for and none (0) opposed to approve the minutes of the August 10, 2022,
Regular Meeting. The motion carried.
Board Member Mclvor took her seat at the table.
4. Discussion Regarding Allen Tourism Market.
Director Cromwell presented the Zartico thresholds and statistics.
5. Update on The Farm Development.
Ms. Cromwell presented features of The Farm Mixed-Use development, including The Hub restaurant
and entertainment venue.
6. Discuss Recommendations by Board Members for Additional Marketing Initiatives.

The Board discussed a custom QR code on postcards with information on Allen's hotels and eateries.
2. Election of Officers.
Chair Musa called for nominations from the Board for the purpose of electing officers.
The following slate of officers was presented:
Karen Musa for the position of Chair.
Crystella McIvor for the position of Vice-Chair.
Kira Boone for the position of Secretary.
With no other nominations offered, Chair Musa closed the call for nominations. Karen Musa was
elected for the position of Chair; Crystella Mclvor was elected for the position of Vice-Chair, and Kira
Boone was elected for the position of Secretary by a vote of seven(7) for and none(0) opposed. The
motion carried.
Adjournment
Chair Musa adjourned the Regular Meeting of the Allen Convention and Visitors' Bureau Advisory Board at
8:54 a.m. on Thursday, October 13,2022.
