RESOLUTION NO. 893-12-88(R)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, VALIDATING A ROLLBACK TAX
PETITION PRESENTED TO THE CITY OF ALLEN ON DECEMBER 8,
1988 IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 26.07 OF THE STATE
PROPERTY TAX CODE.
WHEREAS, the City of Allen was presented with a rollback tax petition
on December 8, 1988, with a letter declaring that the petition contained 111
pages showing 1,047 signatures; and,
WHEREAS, in review of the petition document the City Secretary
determined that there were 111 pages of the petition with only 1,045
signatures to be validated; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that 858 signatures were needed on
the petition which represents 10% of the number of qualified voters of the
City of Allen according to the December 8, 1988 official list of qualified
registered voters; and,
WHEREAS, the City Secretary of the City of Allen has validated the
petition using the voter registration list dated December 8, 1988; and,
WHEREAS, three (3) names were not validated due to duplication on the
petition; and 80 names were not validated due to not being a qualified
registered voter in the City of Allen, Texas; and,
WHEREAS, the findings of the City Secretary are that the rollback tax
petition does contain 962 valid registered voters,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT in consideration of the
results of the validation process conducted by the City Secretary, the City
Council of the City of Allen, finds that the rollback tax petition presented to
the City of Allen on December 8, 1988 is a valid petition in accordance with
Section 26.07 of the State Property Tax Code.

OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 22TH DAY OF
DECEMBER, 1988.
