R-898-1-89RESOLUTION NO. 898-1-89 (R) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, APPOINTING THE ELECTION OFFICIALS FOR THE FEBRUARY 4, 1989 SPECIAL ROLLBACK TAX ELECTION, SETTING THE RATE OF PAY FOR THE ELECTION OFFICIALS, THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ELECTION CLERKS FOR THE POLLING PLACE, AND DESIGNATION OF THE ABSENTEE BALLOT BOARD. WHEREAS, on December 22, 1988 the City Council of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, ordered a special election to be held on Saturday, February 4, 1989, for the purpose of voting for or against reducing the tax rate in the City of Allen for the current year from 591 to 57.8451. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS, THAT: Section 1. The Election Judge, Alternate Judge and Clerks to serve at the polling place of such election shall be and are hereby appointed as follows: Election Judge: Peggy Armand Alternate Election Judge: Vicki Smith Clerks: Carol Bennett, Margaret McBride, Darlene Ballinger Section 2. In accordance with Section 32.091 of the Texas Election Code, the judges and clerks shall be paid at the rate of $5.00 per hour and the election judge shall receive an additional $25.00 for delivery of the returns of the election. Section 3. There shall be a maximum of six (6) clerks at the polling place, if needed. Section 4. In accordance with Section 87.004 of the Texas Election Code, the presiding election judge, alternate election judge/or two clerks shall also serve as the Absentee Ballot Board to count the ballots received in absentee voting.
