A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL ROLLBACK
TAX ELECTION HELD ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 4, 1989.
WHEREAS, there came to be considered the returns of an election held on
the 4th day of February, 1989, for the purpose of determining the proposition of
"reducing the tax rate in the City of Allen for the current year from 59$ to
57.8454", and it appearing from said returns, duly and legally made, that there
were cast at said election 1460 valid and legal votes tallied as follows:
"FOR" Reducing the tax rate in the 663
City of Allen for the current
year from 594 to 57.8454
"AGAINST" Reducing the tax rate in the 757
City of Allen for the current
year from 594 to 57.8454.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALLEN, TEXAS:
That said election was duly called; that notice of said election was given in
accordance with law, and that said election was held in accordance with law, and
that the proposition for "reducing the tax rate in the City of Allen for the current
year from 590 to 57.8450" was defeated.
It is further found and determined that in accordance with the order of this
governing body, the City Secretary posted written notice of the date, place and
subject of this meeting on the bulletin board located in the City Hall, a place
convenient and readily accessible to the general public, and said notice having
been so posted and remaining posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding
the schedule time of said meeting. A copy of the return of said posting shall be
attached to the minutes of this meeting and shall be made a part thereof for all
intents and purposes.
