A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE REPORT
OF THE MAYOR AS THE OFFICIAL PROGRAM OF
LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES FOR THE CITY FOR THE
CURRENT YEAR, AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE SAME.
WHEREAS, the seventy-first session of the Texas Legislature has
convened beginning January 10, 1989; and
WHEREAS, many legislative issues affecting municipal government and
the citizens of Allen will be considered; and
WHEREAS, the Allen City Council has appointed the Mayor to recom-
mend policy positions for such legislative issues;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. A 1989 Legislative Program for the City of Allen is
adopted as recommended by the Mayor, and attached and made a part hereof
for all purposes.
SECTION 2. The City Manager is directed to communicate the
priorities included in the Legislative Program to members of the Texas
Legislature and other appropriate state officials.
