R-954-12-89RESOLUTION NO. 954-12-89(R) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AN ADJUSTMENT TO THE 1988 TAX ROLL AND APPROVING A REFUND FOR OVERPAYMENT OF TAXES. WHEREAS, Norma Jo Daniel Johnson filed suit in District Court against the Central Appraisal District of Collin County, protesting the value placed on her property for 1988 Taxable Year. This property is known as Tract #6, David Wetsel Survey, Abstract No. 977, in the Collin County Deed Records. The suit was settled by an Agreed Judgement in favor of Mrs. Johnson; and, WHEREAS, Section 42.43 of the State Property Tax Code States that the taxing unit shall refund to the property owner the difference between the amount of taxes paid and the amount of taxes for which the property owner is liable. The taxing unit shall include the refund and interest on the amount refunded at an annual rate of eight percent (8%), calculated from the delinquency date for the taxes until the date the refund is made; and, WHEREAS, listed below is the account number, name of owner, reason for adjustment, loss in value and amount of refund.
