A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING
PUBLIC SUPPORT OF LITTER -FREE AND WELL-MAINTAINED
PUBLIC AREAS THROUGH A FORMAL ADOPTION PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the City of Allen, A Texas Municipal Corporation recognizes
the need and desirability of attractive well maintained public areas; and,
WHEREAS, the Adopt -A -Spot and Adopt -A -Street Programs will be
established for civic organizations, businesses and individuals to contribute
toward the effort of maintaining aesthetically pleasing, litter -free public rights-
of-way.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the City will establish Adopt -A -Spot and Adopt -A -Street
Programs to generate community enthusiasm for actively supporting the
cleanliness and beautification of the community as a whole.
SECTION 2. Each support group will be recognized by the City as a
participant in the adoption program by the placement of a marker at the adopted
site.
