Whitaker, Bob Lowman, Johnnie Blankenship, Johnny Pannell and Clifford Hart. Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnny Pannell that minutes of previous meeting be Approved as read. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against. Motion Johnny Pannell Second Clifford Hart that Ordinance No 126 be approved, changing the zoning on a tracg of land in the Peter Wetsel Survey, Abstract No. 990, from its present "C -D -E" zoning to "G" (Local Business) zoning. Motion carried 5 For 0 Against. Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnny Pannell that May 18, 7:30 P.M. be set as date for Public Hearing on the Annexation request of Dell Morton. Motion carried 5 For 0 Against. Motion Johnny Pannell Second Clifford Hart that Final Plats be approved, sub- ject to approval by City Engineer, on Hillside Village #5 & #8. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against. Joe Perks appeared before Council to present information as to the cost of a fence around the Little League Baseball Field. AM Mopion C.D. Whitaker Second Clifford that Council approve the Plat presented on Rock Creek Estates Addition. This subdivision is not in the Corporate Limits of the City but is in the City's Extra -territorial jurisdiction. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against. Ronald Gentry appeared before Council along with Fire Marshall Carl Gilliland and presented information on the fire department and on insurance rates in the City. Chief Gentry reccoaended that the Council hire some paid Firemen. Council advised Chief Gentry that at this time the City was not finiancially able to hire paid Fire- men. Motion Johnny Pannell Second Bob Lowman that Mike Mahoney be paid, at the request of the Planning & Zoning Commission, to draw up and print a form to be used as a check -list by Developers presenting Plats of Subdivisions for the City's consideration Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against. Motion Clifford Hart Second Bob Lowman that Robert D. Ramsay be replaced as Corporation Court Judge. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against. Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnnie Blankenship that Lynn Jeffcoat be hired as Corporation Court Judge, beginning May 20th. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against. J.D. Buchanan appeared before Council and read Ordinances that would be needed to complete work on the Sale of Water & Sewer Revenue Bonds. Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnny Pannell that Ordinance No. 127 be approved authorizing the sale of $1,500,000.00 Waterworks and Sewer System Revenue Bonds, Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against. Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnnie Blankenship that Ordinance No. 128 be approved setting water rates and sewer charges to retire Water & Sewer Revenue Bonds. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against. Ila Motion Clifford Hart Second C.D. Whitaker that bills presented be approved. Motion Carried 5 For 0 Against. Motion Johnny Pannell Second Bob Lowman that meeting adjourn.
