A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS,
APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
A CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ALLEN WITH THE STATE
OF TEXAS FOR THE BLANKET COVERAGE OF VARIOUS PROJECTS
COVERING THE INSTALLATION, CONSTRUCTION, EXISTENCE, USE,
OPERATION, AND MAINTENANCE OF CERTAIN HIGHWAY TRAFFIC
SIGNALS/ ILLUMINATION IN THE CITY OF ALLEN, TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, has
been requested by the District Transportation Engineer for the State Department
of Highways and Public Transportation to approve and authorize execution of a
contract on behalf of the City and the State of Texas for the blanket coverage of
various projects covering the installation, construction, existence, use, operation,
and maintenance of certain highway traffic signals/illumination in the City of
Allen, to be incorporated into the reconstruction and widening of U. S. 75 through
the City of Allen.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That the certain agreement dated September 4, 1990
between the State of Texas and the City of Allen for the blanket coverage of
various projects covering the installation, construction, existence, use, operation,
and maintenance of certain highway traffic signals /illumination in the City of
Allen, Texas, be and the same is hereby approved and the City Manager is hereby
authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of Allen and to transmit
the same to the State of Texas for appropriate action.
SECTION 2: That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
passage.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ALLEN, TEXAS, ON THE 19th DAY OF April , 1990.
