A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A
CONTRACT WITH THE NORTH TEXAS MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City Council recognizes a growing regional shortage of existing landfill
space and increasing levels of difficulty and expense in locating and permitting new
landfill space; and,
WHEREAS, the Council believes the North Texas Municipal Water District offers the most
dependable and cost-effective long-term solution for solid waste disposal; and,
WHEREAS, the Council further believes that the public convenience center facilities
provided by the North Texas Municipal Water District offer the residents of Allen a
much needed opportunity to dispose of brush and other large items,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, THAT: The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute
a contract between the City and the North Texas Municipal Water District for solid waste
disposal services effective February 1, 1991.

COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 3RD DAY OF JANUARY, 1991.
