REGULAR MEET IIT.:
June 1, 1972
City Council, City of Allen
Present: Mayor Frank Dugger
Councilmen; C.D. Whitaker, Johnny Pannell & Johnnie Blankenship.
Absent : Bob Lowman & Clifford Hart.
Motion Johnnie Blankenship Second C.D. Whitaker that minutes of
previous meeting be approved as read. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against.
Motion Johnny Pannell Second C.D. Whitaker that in the future all
alleys will be constructed of concrete according to specifications reccomended
by City Engineer. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against.
Council heard a request from Mrs Johnny E. Walton to move 3 houses
into the City to be located at the intersection of North Cedar & North Coats
Drive. Council granted permission to move these houses into the City provided
all were connected to the City utilities and all back taxes be paid on the lots.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnny Pannell that the request be granted. Motion
Carried 3 For 0 Against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnnie Blankenship that Ordinance No. 130
be approved setting the minimum of 75% masonry on all exterior walls of resident-
ial construction. Motion carried 3 For 0 Against.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnny Pannell that July 6 be set as date
for Council to set as Board of Tax Equalization for the City. Motion Carried 3
For 0 Against.
A request was read from the Fire Department for construction by the
City of a concrete slab North of the fire station. This request was tabled by
Council for further study.
Motion C.D. Whitaker Second Johnnie Blankenship that bills presented
be approved. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against.
Motion Johnnie Blankenship Second C.D. Whitaker that meeting adjourn.
Motion carried 3 For 0 Against.
