A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT WITH BROWNING -FERRIS INDUSTRIES, INC. TO PROVIDE
RECYCLING SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the City of Allen's Comprehensive Plan declares that the City will act to
encourage conservation of natural resources and minimize pollution as methods of
providing a high quality environment in Allen; and
WHEREAS, the Allen City Council is desirous of providing Allen residents a local
opportunity to turn in recyclable materials;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS THAT: The City Manager is authorized to execute
an agreement with Browning-Ferris Industries, Inc. to provide a drop-off recycling
center, including rental containers and hauling services.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 7TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1991.
