A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, SUPPORTING A SITE DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND
PERMIT AMENDMENT TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH
MCKINNEY SOLID WASTE LANDFILL PERMIT NO. 568A, BY THE NORTH
TEXAS MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the City of Allen by formal contract is a Member of the North Texas Municipal
Water District Regional Solid Waste Disposal System; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Allen entered into the Regional Contract for Solid Waste Disposal
in an effort to utilize the regional ability to combine facilities and financial base
resulting in economic and environmental benefits to the citizens of the area; and,
WHEREAS, the application to amend the permit and site development plan of the City of
McKinney Landfill to allow the facility to become a regional landfill to the North Texas
Municipal Water District Regional Solid Waste System has been a part of the regional
program for several years and is needed to assure adequate capacity in the NTMWD
Regional Solid Waste Disposal Program.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IS RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1: The City of Allen supports and recommends the approval of the permit
amendment and site development plan for the McKinney Municipal Solid Waste Landfill
Texas Department of Health Permit No. 568-A as proposed by the North Texas Municipal
Water District and is of the opinion that this will result in the most beneficial program
for solid waste disposal in the area.
SECTION 2: The City Secretary is directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the
appropriate state agencies and other interested parties.

COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS ON THIS THE 6TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1992.
