RESOLUTION NO. 1081-2-92(R)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY'S SOLID
WASTE CONTRACT WITH BROWNING -FERRIS INDUSTRIES OF PLANO,
TEXAS.
WHEREAS, the City of Allen is now paying an increased fee to its landfill authority,
made necessary by a tax increase recently levied by the State of Texas; and
WHEREAS, the City pays its landfill expenses in part from revenue billed and collected
by its collection contractor, Browning-Ferris Industries (BFI) of Plano, Texas; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has increased rates to the Allen business customers whom
BFI bills;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. The contract between the City of Allen and Browning-Ferris Industries,
Inc., Section 11 "Rates," shall be amended as follows:
For services rendered to accounts listed under "COMMERCIAL" in Exhibit "A",
the Contractor will pay the City for the monthly waste tonnage deposited in
NTMWD's facilities by the Contractor at the rate of $14-99 $15.62 per ton, and an
additional amount equal to 5% of all commercial billings.
SECTION 2. The same contract shall be further amended by substituting the new rate
schedule previously adopted by City Council Ordinance, attached to this Resolution as
Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof for all purposes.
SECTION 3. The changes to this contract shall be effective March 1, 1992.

COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 20TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1992.
