Call to Order
With a quorum of the Board members present, the Regular Meeting of the Allen Convention and Visitor's
Bureau Advisory Board was called to order by 8:04 a.m.on Thursday,April 13,2023,in the Council Conference
Room at Allen City Hall, 305 Century Parkway,Allen,Texas 75013.
1. Ratify Minutes of the October 13,2022,Meeting.
Chair Musa signed the approved minutes from the October 13,2022,meeting.
2. Approve Minutes of the December 8,2022,Meeting.
MOTION: Upon a motion made by Board Member Arnold and a second by Board Member Yates,
the Board voted five(5)for and none(0)opposed to approve the minutes of December
8, 2022,Regular Meeting. The motion carried.
3. Discuss Board Evaluation Survey.
Mrs. Cromwell stated the requests discussed last year, including a desire for hotel representation. The
Board agreed to resubmit the same proposal as those requests were still applicable.
4. Discuss Allen Tourism Market.
Mrs. Cromwell presented reports from the visitor data dashboard, social media successes, website
traffic impacts,and travel industry insights.
5. Receive Out of State Origin Market Analysis.
Mrs. Cromwell presented analysis on visitor flow and visitor spend impacted by high school
graduations hosted in market as well as reported on upcoming overnight impact events.
6. Update on New Development and Destination Asset Updates.
