A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT
APPLICATION TO AMERICAN EXPRESS COMPANY FOR THE PURPOSE OF
ENTERING INTO CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS, The convenience of credit purchases through the use of credit cards has
become common and every day practice, and;
WHEREAS, From time to time the convenience of credit cards enhance the ability of city
administration to make purchases in a timely manner, and;
WHEREAS, American Express Company requires written evidence in the form of by laws,
charters, or resolutions which specify the authority of the official to take such action.
WHEREAS, contractual agreement with American Express Company will better serve the
needs of the City of Allen.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS THAT: The City Council authorizes the submission of the
application to American Express Company and designates the City Manager to enter into
contractual agreement with American Express Company on behalf of the City of Allen-.
DULY PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS FIRST DAY OF OCTOBER, 1992.
