A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN
COUNTY, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT WITH THE DALLAS REGIONAL MOBILITY COALITION.
WHEREAS, unimpeded progress, regional consensus and a reasonable and fair allocation of State and
Federal highway and public transit funds are essential to the continued mobility, economic development, and
favorable job environment for and in the Dallas Metropolitan Area; and,
WHEREAS, the Interlocal Corporation Act, Article 4413 (32c), Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, as amended
authorized the City of Allen to develop regional cooperative programs and to enter into interlocal agreements
for the performance jointly of services and activities that each party thereto is authorized to perform
separately, all to be done to the benefit of the parties thereto; and,
WHEREAS, after careful consideration the Allen City Council considers it to be in the best interest of the
citizens of Allen to work cooperatively with other cities, counties and agencies to improve transportation
mobility in Allen and in the region;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN,
COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1: The Allen City Council hereby agrees to participate and become a member of the Dallas
Regional Mobility Coalition.
SECTION 2: The Mayor is authorized to execute an interlocal agreement with DMRC, pay dues and
participate in other activities necessary to maintain the City of Allen's membership in good standing.

COUNTY, TEXAS, ON THIS THE 7TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1993.
