Min - City Council - 1972 - 11/16 - RegularREGULAR MEETING November 16, 1972 City Council, City of Allen Present: Mayor Frank Dogger Councilmen: Clifford Hart, Bob Lowman & Johnny Pannell. Absent : C.D. Whitaker & Johnnie Blankenship. M4ion Bob Lowman Second Johnny Pannell that minutes of previous meet- ing be approved as read. Motiob Carried 3 For 0 Against. Public hearing was held on the annexation request of George Busiek to annex 148.618 acres of land in the J.T. Roberts Survey - abstract M 777 and Henry Wetsel Survey - Abstract # 1026 into the Corporate Limits of the City. Hal Mayfield representing George Busiek was present to speak for the request. There was no opposition present to oppose this request. Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnny Pannell that this request be approved and Ordinance No. 138 be approved on this annexation. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against. Bob Derrington from the North Texas Municipal Water District was present and presented a pmoposal for the District to make a visual daily inspedtion of the City's Sewer,Lift Pumps. The cost of this maintainance would be tabor & Material plus 10%. Motion Johnny Pannell Second Clifford Hart that City Authorise the North Texas Municipal Water District to perform this job. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against. Don Lortcher appeared before Council in reference to rezoning a tract to be used as a Nursery. Mr. Lortcher was advised to meet with the Planning & Zoning Commission. Motion Bob Lowman Second Johnny Pannell that bills presented be approved. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against. Council accepted Don Francis resignation from the Planning & Zoning Commission and appointed Mickey Pierson to fill this vacancy. Lloyd Dement, representating a group of property owners that have land in the jurisdiction of the City of Parker, appeared before Council and asked for annexation and as to the availabilty of water to their property from the Fity of Allen. Since this property is located in the City of Parker's jurisdiction at this time, eouncil tabled this request for further study. Motio¢ Bob Lowman Second Johnny Pannell that Ronnie Gentry be hired to continue as Custodian and yard man at a rate of $2.25 per hour and all extra labor hired by him at a rate of $1.75 per hour. Motion Carried 3 For 0 Against. Motion Bob Lowman Second Clifford Hart that meeting adjourn. Motion Carried 3 For 0 A gainst.
