R-1262-7-94RESOLUTION NO. 1262-7-94(R) A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS, APPOINTING THE ELECTION OFFICIALS FOR THE AUGUST 13, 1994 SPECIAL CALLED ELECTION RELATIVE TO THE ADOPTION OR REJECTION OF THE FIRE FIGHTERS' CIVIL SERVICE LAW, SETTING THE RATE OF PAY FOR THE ELECTION OFFICIALS, THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ELECTION CLERKS FOR THE POLLING PLACE, AND DESIGNATION OF THE EARLY VOTING BALLOT BOARD. WHEREAS, on April 7, 1994 the City Council of the City of Allen, Collin County, Texas, ordered a special election to be held on Saturday, August 13, 1994, in response to a petition from the fire fighters' association requesting a vote of the citizens relative to the adoption or rejection of the fire fighters' civil service law. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ALLEN, COLLIN COUNTY, TEXAS THAT: SECTION 1: The Election Judge and the Alternate Election Judge serving at the polling place of such election shall be and are hereby appointed as follows: Election Judge: Vicki Smith, 705 Spring Street, Allen Alternate Election Judge: Darlene Ballinger, 903 Pin Oak, Allen SECTION 2: In accordance with Section 32.091 of the Texas Election Code, the judges and clerks shall be paid at the rate of $5.00 per hour and the election judge shall receive an additional $25.00 for delivery of the returns of the election. SECTION 3: There shall be a maximum of six (6) clerks at the polling place, if needed. SECTION 4: In accordance with Section 87.004 of the Texas Election Code, the presiding election judge, alternate election judge and a clerk shall serve as the Early Voting Ballot Board to count the ballots received in early voting.
